Carbolite Gallos first seminar at MIM a hit

Kambolet Gallo held a one day seminar at the MIM of noy hausen, Germany. It is aimed at long-term MIM/ additive manufacturing (AM) experience and component manufacturers interested in new manufacturing. A technical paper on the MIM&AM theme, and a rich report on existing challenges in various interdisciplinary manufacturing fields, have provided a new approach to process optimization for participants.

Both MIM and AM are fast growing markets with very good prospects. These manufacturing processes have a clear interdisciplinary direction, from preparation and forming to post processing of powder production. Kambolet Gallo's MIM symposium has made a successful contribution to promoting interdisciplinary communication in this field.

Dr. Carlo Burkhardt, director of the Institute of strategic technology and the precious metals Institute, PRF University, Germany, provides the basic knowledge of MIM&AM and describes the challenges that exist in these fields. Gerhard Raatz of laichi technology has used the dynamic image analysis method to clarify the possibility of particle size and particle size analysis of metal powders. In his report on elemental analysis, Mike Lucka explained how to use Elt's elemental analyzer to determine the carbon content of the MIM portion of the finished product. Elisa Gotze from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) provides some insights into the research activities in the ceramic additive manufacturing field of the WBK Institute of production technology.

For the production steps of degreasing and sintering, ensuring the ideal gas path in the high temperature furnace is the key to ensure uniform temperature distribution. It is for this reason that simulation must be carried out to make the invisible visible and improve the invisible details. As a result, Capulet Gallo worked closely with the University of Pfeldheim and Merkle & Partner GbR to improve degreasing and sintering furnaces through simulations. The fundamentals and possibilities of the simulation were presented at this seminar by Nelson Brito, a master engineer of the University of PU, and Christian Mielke, a science and technology PhD of Merkle & Partner GbR. Finally, Kambolet Gallo introduced its entire product line for MIM/CIM and AM. This includes the catalyst (EBO) and the thermal degreasing (GLO) equipment. The degreasing and sintering temperature of the metal melting furnace is up to 1450 C (PDS, HTK), and the temperature of the stress elimination heat treatment equipment is as high as 800 (GPCMA).
